About RemoteTools

RemoteTools is a small collection of utilities for people who work across time zones: a time zone converter, a meeting planner that scores each hour against both sides' working day, a currency reference converter, and a page for every pair of major cities.

How the times are calculated

All conversions run in your browser using the ECMAScript Internationalization API against the IANA time zone database shipped with your operating system and browser. Nothing is sent to a server to compute a time. Offsets are resolved for the specific date in question, so daylight saving transitions are handled on both sides independently — including the awkward cases where two regions that share an offset for part of the year diverge for the rest of it.

Accuracy

City pair pages assume a conventional 09:00–18:00 weekday working day. That is a planning default, not a fact about your team — adjust it to your own hours. Currency rates are daily mid-market reference rates and are not the rates a payment provider will give you.
